    Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the EMG activity when applying stabilization exercise. This study’s subjects were 10 patients diagnosed with frozen shoulder. Muscle activities in the upper trapezius, middle trapezius, and lower trapezius were measured before and after 6 different stabilization exercise methods. To measure the muscle activity, a surface electromyography was used. Significant differences in the muscle activities were found after the exercises of rowing in prone, prone extension, superman T, superman Y, superman I. That is, each of the stabilization exercises should be applied selectively according to the symptoms and diagnosis of each patient.
